The Greater Hot Springs Chamber of Commerce
is an action agency
designed to meet the needs of our
community. It is a voluntary
organization of individuals and businesses
who band together to advance
the commercial, financial, industrial and
civic interests of our area.
Among other things, it is also a civic
clearinghouse, a public
relations counselor, a legislative
representative at the local, state,
and national levels of government, an
information bureau, and a
research and promotion medium.
The Chamber’s method of advancing total
community development is
determined by the organization’s program of
work. The program of work
is set each year by the Board of Directors
with input from the entire
membership during its annual planning
retreat. The Chamber’s many
committees serve as action groups to carry
out that program of work for
the year.
Members of the Board of Directors are
selected from the Chamber’s
membership and are responsible for setting
the policies of the
organization. Nine members of the Board
serve on the Executive
Committee which handles more of the
day-to-day operations of the
organization. Board Members serve as
representatives of the membership
and welcome input and suggestions.
